The Milwaukee Athletic Department, in collaboration with Northwestern Mutual North Shore, hosted the ninth annual Elevator Pitch Competition this February. The event began with workshops on February 10 and 11, led by Alex Marchan, Managing Director at Northwestern Mutual North Shore, and Financial Advisor Jonathan Davidson. They guided 26 student-athletes on crafting effective personal pitches.

The main competition took place on February 25 at the Milwaukee Athletic Department. Participants from five sports presented their pitches to a panel of judges that included Marchan, Davidson, Megan Resch, Troy Stewart from Northwestern Mutual North Shore, Adam Ahearn from Milwaukee Athletics, and Andy Van Sistine.

This year saw two winners for only the second time in the event's history. Freshmen Milica Tomic from volleyball and Maddi Hayashi from women's swim & dive were named co-champions due to the high quality of their presentations.

Northwestern Mutual has been instrumental in supporting this professional development opportunity for student-athletes. Their contributions have helped impact over 160 Panther student-athletes through workshops and competitions over nine years.
