Horizon League schedules basketball media day for October 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium

The Horizon League will hold its annual media day for men's and women's basketball teams on Wednesday, October 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The event will bring together all 22 head coaches from the league’s men’s and women’s programs, along with two student-athletes from each team.

Participating coaches include Andy Toole of RMU, Kayla Karius of Green Bay, Greg Kampe of Oakland, Chris Kielsmeier of Cleveland State, and both Ben Howlett and Kate Bruce from IU Indianapolis. Throughout the day, these coaches and selected student-athletes will take part in live Q&A sessions broadcast on ESPN+. The interviews will be conducted by Jordan Bernfield and Noah Reed.

Additional activities at the event will feature on-site media availability and content sessions hosted by Debbie Antonelli and Andy Katz.

Lucas Oil Stadium is also set to host the NCAA Men’s Final Four tournaments in 2026 and 2029.

According to the schedule released by the Horizon League, Commissioner Julie Roe Lach will open the day on ESPN+ at 8 a.m. ET. This will be followed by time slots for each school: Oakland at 8:15 a.m., Youngstown State at 8:35 a.m., RMU at 8:55 a.m., Green Bay at 9:15 a.m., Milwaukee at 9:35 a.m., Cleveland State at 9:55 a.m., select student-athletes at 10:15 a.m., IU Indianapolis at 11 a.m., Northern Kentucky at 11:20 a.m., Detroit Mercy at 11:40 a.m., Wright State at noon, and Purdue Fort Wayne concluding the lineup at 12:20 p.m.
