Cost of college went up for all students at Milwaukee School of Engineering

Tuition and fees rose 3.3 percent for 2018-19 at Milwaukee School of Engineering, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Wisconsin students paid $40,749 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,320 more than the $39,429 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 511 students received grants or scholarships totaling $13.7 million and 400 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,820), 2,422 students used grants or scholarships totaling $58.9 million, and 1,797 students took out $12.2 million in federal student loans.
