4.2 percent of Marquette University students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 4.2 percent of Marquette University students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Marquette University has 8,435 undergraduate students, of which 54 percent are women and 46 percent are men, and a total student body of 11,605 students. Of these students, 249 men and 241 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Marquette University with the most participants are all track combined (257), lacrosse (87) and soccer (59).
