The Milwaukee Brewers plan to celebrate alongside two 40-ounce beers taped onto their hands following their win against the Mets, taking home the NL Central Champion title.
“Congrats, @Brewers, on clinching the division today! #ThisIsMyCrew,” Gov. Tony Evers said in a tweet late last month.
The team celebrated the 8-4 win, and their new titles with a drinking game in honor of its name, which saw all rookies participating. With six games remaining, the team is now striving to finish off the season with a higher record than any other American league team.
Serving as the Brewers’ third NL Central title, they hope to make the playoffs and represent the NL East with a win. The team maintained the title after going on an 11-game winning streak since June 23, at one point selling out the American Family Field with 43,430 attendees, CBS Sports reports.
