The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Mandela Barnes, Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin, refunded $1,000 to Joan Gaus on Aug. 16, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

FEC data shows the refunded expenditure was for: "Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company."

Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin has refunded $1,000 total since March 1.
