The Milwaukee Brewers are having a busy offseason trading old and new players, including the team's longest-tenured player, backup pitcher Manny Pina who was traded to the Atlanta Braves.

"Manny Pina was an unsung hero in many ways on #brewers … came up with clutch hits – homers – even after sitting several days in a row," tweeted Chuck Freimund, a local sports reporter. "A true pro."

The Brewers are interested in trading other key players Avisail Garcia, Brad Boxberger and Hunter Strickland, the website Reviewing the Brew reported.

The team is interested in several players on the Cincinnati Red including in Jesse Winker, Luis Cessa, Kyle Farmer, Tyler Naquin, the website said.

Meanwhile, other teams are interested in the Brewers' relief pitcher, Josh Hader, according to the Bleach Report. It describes Hader as "one of the best relief pitchers in all of baseball."

Pina's trade produced a big pay raise for the pitcher, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinenel reported.

He was making $1.165 million with the Brewers but will jump to $3.5 million next season with the Braves and $4.5. million in 2023, the story said.

"Manny did a great job here," said president of baseball operations David  Stearns told the newspaper. "He was our longest-tenured player and someone who contributed on and off the field in meaningful ways."
