The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Miami Heat 124-102. | Facebook
The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Miami Heat 124-102 at Fiserv Forum Dec. 4 without its power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo.
He earned the nickname “Greek Freak” from his Greek nationality and his height at 6 foot, 11 inches.
“Happy Birthday to the man that saved the Milwaukee Bucks franchise,” Chris Bacon wrote on Twitter. “The best story in sports today. A phenomenal athlete, and a better man. The City of Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin are lucky to have you, king.”
During the game, the Bucks scored a 34-23 lead at the end of one, SB Nation reported.
The Bucks played the Miami Heat on Dec. 4, without Giannis Antetokounmpo, and won 124-102.
Pat Connaughton, a small forward for the Bucks, was recently recognized for his contribution to the team, coming in clutch and supporting with points in the fourth quarter throughout the season.
Though the game against the Heat started evenly, by halftime the Bucks were consistently leading by double digits for most of the game.
Antetokounmpo didn’t appear in this past game because of a calf injury, Fan Nation reported. He’s steadily garnered a following on Twitter since he was first drafted in 2013, SB Nation reported.
The Bucks will play the Miami Heat again on Dec. 8.
