The Milwaukee Bucks are adding mystery and excitement to the NBA 2022 trade season in that they have yet to signal who they will and won’t be trading as the trade deadline looms.
The NBA Trade Deadline stands at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 10, according to NBA.com.
The defending champions had a clear-cut path “leading up to last season’s NBA trade deadline,” in that they wanted Houston Rockets forward P.J. Tucker, but now, there is no such player that the Bucks have mentioned wanting, Behind the Buck Pass said.
“The biggest question of them all remains what the Bucks plan to do at the center position,” Behind the Buck Pass said. “Starting center Brook Lopez has been sidelined in every game but the season opener with back issues and will not be returning soon after getting a procedure done. There is reportedly optimism that Lopez could return this season, but that could still be far down the line.”
Recently, the Bucks signed 10-day contracts with guards Jeff Dowtin, who was with the Golden State Warriors, and Langston Galloway, with the Brooklyn Nets, the NBA said.
Bucks follower Ryan Pohl tweeted on Twitter his opinion of the trade mystery.
“The @Bucks are under performing this year and I don't see them repeating unless they make a few trades,” Pohl tweeted. “I really like this one and @nyknicks sends the @sixers an unprotected first round pick. @celtics @NBA @NBATV @NBAonTNT @AlexLasryWI.”
