Milwaukee City - WI issued the following announcement on Feb 23.

SYIP | Summer Youth Internship Program

SYIP on-line applications are NOW being accepted

Program Information:

Interns earn $15.00 per hour.

Interns work Monday through Friday 20 hours per week. [A maximum of 160 hours for the duration of the internship

The internship work assignment begins Thursday, June 2nd and ends Friday, July 29th.

Interns must commit to work the entire 8-week program.  Applicants with plans for summer school, summer camps, family reunions, or who are unable to work the entire 8-week internship are asked not to apply

Check the requirements below before you apply:

Youth must be between age 16 (as of June 1, 2022) to 19 years-old.

Youth must live in the City of Milwaukee

COVID-19 Vaccination or approved accommodation required. Youth selected for the internship are required to have received either both doses of the Moderna or Pfizer or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine prior to June 1, 2022, or have an approved religious or medical accommodation prior to June 1, 2022.

Priority is given to place high school juniors and seniors that have not previously participated in the program.

A COMPLETED APPLICATION INCLUDING THE TRANSCRIPT, ATTENDANCE INFORMATION, AND COVER LETTER MUST BE SUBMITTED BY:
