It was a tough series finale against the Washington Nationals for the Milwaukee Brewers this past weekend.

Last week as not only did they end the series with an 8-2 loss, but they also may be without one of their star pitchers. Freddy Peralta left the game in the third inning after a mound visit from team trainer Scott Barringer and catcher Omar Narvaez.

Narvaez said, "I thought in the second inning, he didn't have the same life on his fastball. In the third inning, I went out to see how he felt. ... He said he was a little tight. I told him there's no point this early in the season trying to be the hero."

Narvaez was correct. Reports are that Peralta is suffering from a tight shoulder and might not be available for the team's upcoming road series against the San Diego Padres.

The loss and injury were a tough ending to what started out as a good series for the Brewers. Milwaukee had won the first two contests, 7-0 and 5-1. Ultimately, it would lose the third game, 8-2.

Peralta had given up three consecutive hits when manager Craig Counsell and trainer Barringer went out to the mound. Peralta then left the game with reported tightness. He will remain in Milwaukee to get an MRI while the team continues its road trip.

Brent Suter came in to relieve Peralta and gave up eight straight hits, which resulted in the Nationals leading 8-0 before he could record an out.
