Milwaukee is the economic engine for the state of Wisconsin. We have the companies and talented employees it takes to compete in the global marketplace. But our current lack of public safety resources, plus a looming fiscal cliff in our pension system, means that our future competitiveness is far from assured.
Without additional revenue tools, the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County will continue to see difficulties in maintaining public safety and quality of life services. With that in mind, a coalition of Milwaukee County governments, businesses and community leaders has formed to solve local problems with local solutions.
On Nov. 15, join MMAC President Tim Sheehy and the Move Forward MKE coalition for a panel discussion about the importance of funding the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County, and how securing that funding impacts local businesses. Attendees are welcome to ask questions following the panel discussion.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 15th from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Where: Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, Harmony Room
1721 W Canal St, Milwaukee, WI 53233
Panelists:
Chief Aaron Lipski, Milwaukee Fire Department
Austin Ramirez, HUSCO
Omar Shaikh, 3rd Street Market Hall and Carnevor
Tim Sheehy, MMAC (moderator)
