On April 19, Speaker McCarthy shared the GOP’s debt ceiling hostage demands. In response, Congresswoman Moore released the following statement:
“Republicans have created a debt ceiling crisis that looms over our economy and threatens catastrophe. As Republicans make their radical demands, they have made it clear that they are willing to hold the economy hostage, send global markets into turmoil, and destroy American jobs.
With this bill, Republicans are saying you either let us enact our MAGA agenda or else we will crash the economy.
These are serious times; these are unserious proposals.”
