Coming off last week’s headliner announcement, the opening acts for Hip-Hop Week MKE 2023 have been announced: rappers Boldy James and Stove God Cooks will be opening for Jadakiss, the headline act for this year’s Hip-Hop Week, which will run from August 21-27.
Boldy James and Stove God Cooks are both members of the Griselda Records collective and prominent rap artists. Boldy James hails from Detroit and will be celebrating the tenth anniversary of his debut album in October. Stove God Cooks is a newer artist famous for his collaborative work and has released two high-profile albums thus far.
Alderman Khalif J. Rainey, founder of Hip-Hop Week MKE, expressed his enthusiasm for announcement of these opening acts.
“Boldy James and Stove God Cooks are spectacular artists and fine additions to the lineup of promising performers that will be playing during this year’s Hip-Hop Week,” Alderman Rainey said. “I am eager to see what other brilliant artists will be on this year’s roster, and I am even more eager to see them in concert this August.”
