Milwaukee County spent $7,998,853 on women’s collegiate basketball teams in 2023, representing an 18.1% decrease from the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Overall, basketball teams in the county received a total of $30,142,257, with women’s teams receiving $7,998,853.

Since 2010, the average sports expenses in Milwaukee County have grown 63.1%.

Basketball is one of the most popular sports played at U.S. colleges, as well as football. NCAA basketball teams are often as popular as NBA teams, and offer a different experience for fans.
