Milwaukee City Wire

Milwaukee placed 145 student-athletes on the 2024 Horizon League Spring Academic Honor Roll, as announced Thursday by the conference office.

The Panthers ranked second on the overall school list this time but have led the Horizon League six times in the past 12 semesters. A total of 1,324 student-athletes earned the distinction league-wide, with Milwaukee's 145 trailing only Youngstown State (185).

Women's track & field/cross country led Milwaukee with 29 members. Women's soccer followed closely with 24, and men's track & field came in third with 22.

Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria: participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent or current season, completion of three semesters (or four quarters) as a full-time student at the same member institution, and a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.00 scale.
