TERRE HAUTE, IND. - The Milwaukee men's cross country team competed at Indiana State's John McNichols Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Panthers finished in fifth place out of seven teams in the Division I field with 112 points.
"We challenged the men to continue pushing forward with their effort and mentality. I felt this group definitely did that," said head coach Andrew Basler.
Leading the way for Milwaukee was Carter Eckhoff in 15th place with a time of 25:21.0. Cullen Boyle wasn't far behind him, taking 17th place with his time of 25:32.8.
Sam Schreiber continued as one of the Panthers' top performers, finishing in 23rd place with his time of 25:42.1.
Basler continued, saying, "I think our top three looked very strong again and hope to see them continue to get stronger through the year."
Aidan Sosnowski set his personal best in the 8k for the second straight meet with a time of 26:22.5.

Milwaukee will be in action again on Friday, Oct. 4 at Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational at 10:30 a.m. in South Bend, Ind. Following that, the Panthers are competing at Wisconsin Lutheran's Warrior Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 11:00 a.m.
