The Milwaukee men's cross country team participated in the Warrior Invitational on Saturday morning, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran at Greenfield Park. The Panthers secured second place among eight teams, accumulating 52 points.

Freshman Nathan Powley led the team with a third-place finish, clocking in at 26:47.50. "Nathan bounced back well from his last race at Indiana State to take a good step forward," said head coach Andrew Basler.

Harper Fahey achieved a top-10 finish with a time of 27:43.91. Following him were Zach Moss in 12th place at 27:54.90, Gavin Czarnecki in 13th at 28:07.49, and Sam Blascyk finishing 14th with a time of 28:11.00.

Milwaukee's performance earned them the traveling trophy for the best combined score between men's and women's teams, as the women's team scored 43 points for a total of 95.

The team's next competition is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 at Bradley's Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois, which will be their final meet before the Horizon League Championships.
