The Milwaukee Athletic Department has announced the start of this year's For the MKE Athletics Giving Challenge, coinciding with UWM's 414 for UWM Giving Days. The event involves varsity athletic programs, supporters, and alumni in a fundraising competition aimed at enhancing the experience of Panther student-athletes.
The challenge is scheduled to run from Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16. Supporters are encouraged to direct their contributions towards specific sports programs during this period. However, donations can also be made to the Panther Excellence Fund, which serves as the primary fundraising arm supporting Milwaukee Athletics' teams and student-athletes.
Participation in the For the MKE Athletics Giving Challenge can be done through various methods. All gifts given during the campaign will count towards achieving this year's goal of raising $75,000 and increasing participation to 275 donors. Last year’s campaign saw a record $67,229 raised from 253 donors.
Donors have options to give online by selecting individual sport links or providing overall support through direct contributions to the Panther Excellence Fund. Additionally, donations can be made via mail by sending checks payable to UWM Foundation with designated sports noted in the memo line.
