Dominique Thomas has been recognized as the Horizon League Women's Runner of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office following her impressive performance at the Golden Grizzlies Invitational.

Thomas secured this accolade after winning the 200m dash with a time of 24.57 seconds, marking it as the second fastest in the Horizon League for this season. Additionally, she recorded the top 100m time in the conference during preliminary heats, clocking in at 11.81 seconds.

This achievement makes Thomas the third Panther to receive a weekly honor from the league during this outdoor season. She follows Natalie Block and Anthony Campbell, who were acknowledged last week.

The Panthers are set to continue their outdoor season at both the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Gary Wieneke Memorial this week. The Bryan Clay Invitational is scheduled to begin on Thursday in Azusa, California.
