A group of Milwaukee track and field athletes participated in the Eagle Open held in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where they secured victories in three events and achieved podium placements in four additional categories.

In the 100m hurdles, Natalie Block and Kynnedi Malone claimed first and second place with times of 13.42 and 13.84 seconds, respectively. Notably, both athletes ran faster during preliminaries with times of 13.28 and 13.81 seconds, surpassing the previous facility record of 13.65 seconds.

Caleb Henry emerged victorious in the 400m event with a time of 47.78 seconds, narrowly missing the facility record by just 0.05 seconds.

Anna Szepieniec excelled in the long jump, achieving a winning leap of 5.65 meters (18'6.5") on her final attempt.

Adaline Powell secured second place in the triple jump with a distance of 11.89 meters (39'0.25") on her fifth attempt, while Chris Hudnall finished second in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.47 seconds.

Will Mortimer earned third place in the long jump with an initial jump measuring 7.12 meters (23'4.5").

Madison Hughes finished seventh in the 5000m race with a time of 19:15.33, while Olivia Busch also placed seventh in the javelin throw with a distance of 35.25 meters (115'7").

Due to unfavorable wind conditions that posed safety risks for athletes, officials canceled the pole vault event where Evan Bartelsen and Jack Browne were scheduled to compete.

The Eagle Open serves as their last competition before participating in the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds set for May 22-25 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
