The Milwaukee cross country team is set to compete in the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, October 18, in Peoria, Illinois. This event serves as the final competition before the Horizon League Championships. The races will be divided into two groups, with all Panthers athletes participating. The men's 8K White Race begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by the women's 6K at 2:15 p.m. The Red Races will feature the men's 8K at 3:00 p.m. and conclude with the women's 6K at 3:45 p.m. These events will take place at Newman Golf Course and are hosted by Bradley University, with live coverage available on ESPN+.

Anelise Egge aims to maintain her strong performance for Milwaukee's women’s team after securing seventh place out of 182 runners at the Joe Piane Invitational on October 4. Her time of 17:18.2 broke the school's record for a 5K cross country race and earned her Horizon League Runner of the Week honors.

Rachel Helm also plays a crucial role following her second-place finish at the Warrior Invitational on October 5, where she recorded a season-best time of 22:43.9 in the 6K. Cailin Kinas is looking to build momentum ahead of league championships after achieving her best time in two seasons for a 5K race.

For Milwaukee's men’s team, Cullen Boyle led their last outing at the Joe Piane Invite with a notable time of 24:50.6 in an 8K race—the fourth-best in program history—becoming the first Panther since 2022 to break the 25-minute mark.

Sam Schreiber and Carter Eckhoff have consistently performed well this season. Schreiber narrowly missed a top-10 all-time finish for Milwaukee with his recent time of 25:04.6 and posted his best time last year at this same event with a result of 26:02.7. Eckhoff recorded an impressive finish during his last race and has frequently led his team throughout this season.

Several personal records were achieved by both teams recently; Anelise Egge (17:18.2), Ally Schmitz (18:36.9), Joely Overstreet (19:12.1), Rachel Helm (22:43.9), Sara Jochims (23:46.1) for women, while Cullen Boyle (24:50.6), Sam Schreiber (25:04.6), Carter Eckhoff (25:13.6), Will Whiteis (25:42.1), Aidan Sosnowski (26:05.8) set career-bests among men.

Looking ahead, Milwaukee's cross country teams will participate in the Horizon League Championships on Saturday, November 2, held at Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course in Shorewood Park, Green Bay, Wisconsin.
