Lucas Picco and Grace Kline have been recognized as the Horizon League Cross Country Freshmen of the Week, according to an announcement from the league office.

Picco achieved a career-best 8K time of 26:25.2, securing 12th place among 160 participants at the Pioneer Gender Equity Invite. This performance earned him his first Horizon League Cross Country Freshman of the Week award and also led to him being named the Horizon League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Kline was honored with the award following her 41st place finish in a field of 109 at the same event. She completed the 6K race with a time of 26:21.8, marking it as her second-best career time.
