Following a successful performance at the Wisconsin Showcase, three members of the Milwaukee swimming and diving teams have been recognized as Horizon League Athletes of the Week. The honors were announced on Wednesday.
Charlie House was named Men's Swimmer of the Week after securing first place in both the 100 (46.52) and 200 (1:43.28) freestyle events during the season-opening meet. The sophomore also contributed to a first-place finish for the 200 freestyle relay team.
Gabrielle LePine earned Swimmer of the Week honors for her achievements in women's events, winning both the 100 (1:04.05) and 200 (2:25.19) breaststroke races. She also played a role in victories for Milwaukee's 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay teams.
Ben Stitgen rounded out the award recipients by being named Men's Diver of the Week. He claimed top positions on both the 1m (257.63) and 3m (275.85) boards.
The Panthers' next competition is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at Klotsche Natatorium against IU Indianapolis.
