Milwaukee men's soccer team faced a narrow defeat against Robert Morris with a 1-0 loss on Saturday afternoon at the North Athletic Complex. The Panthers, now standing at 3-2-3 overall and 0-2-1 in the Horizon League, were unable to equalize despite a late effort.

In the closing minutes of the match, Milwaukee pushed forward to create scoring opportunities. Alejandro Martinez had a significant chance in the 86th minute, but his shot hit the left post and failed to find the net.

Early in the game, Milwaukee's defense was tested as they faced eight initial shots from Robert Morris. Goalkeeper Daniel Ibarra made two saves to keep the score level initially. Bienvenu Djunga provided Milwaukee with their first promising opportunity in the 32nd minute, but it was saved by Robert Morris' goalkeeper.

The decisive moment came shortly after when Robert Morris capitalized on an opportunity at 32:02, securing what would be the only goal of the match. The Panthers nearly responded immediately, but Ryan Berghauer's attempt was also saved. Another chance arose for Milwaukee in the 42nd minute during a corner kick sequence, yet Martinez couldn't direct his rebound attempt on target.

Robert Morris maintained advantages throughout with a total of 19 shots compared to Milwaukee's seven and held possession for 58% of the match. They also led in corner kicks with nine out of thirteen taken during the game. Martinez took three shots for Milwaukee while Ibarra finished with four saves.

The Panthers will return home for their next two games at Engelmann Stadium. Their upcoming match is against Drake on Tuesday with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
