The Milwaukee women's swimming and diving team faced a setback on Friday night, losing to UIC with a score of 202-98. This defeat leaves the team with a record of 1-1 in dual meets this season, maintaining their standing at 1-0 within the Horizon League.

Gabrielle LePine led the Panthers with two first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.28) and the 200 breaststroke (2:21.05). Janelle Schulz contributed by securing second place in both the 200 freestyle (1:53.18) and the 200 individual medley (2:08.71).

Erika Thomas achieved a second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle (10:29.95) and took third place in the 500 freestyle (5:07.03). In butterfly events, Maddi Hayashi finished second in the 100 butterfly (57.05) and third in the 200 butterfly (2:07.51), while Natalie DiProspero secured second place in the 200 butterfly (2:07.10).

On the diving board, Julie Rebek earned second place in the 1m dive with a score of 250.20 and third place in the 3m dive scoring 253.35.

Looking ahead, Milwaukee will participate next at the IU Indianapolis House of Champions Meet from November 21 to November 23 at IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
