The Milwaukee Track & Field teams are preparing to commence their 2024-25 season in Chicago at DePaul's Blue Demon Holiday Invite. The event will take place at the Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park, with field events starting at 2:00 p.m. and running events beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The women's team enters the season following a successful year, having secured both the Horizon League indoor and outdoor titles in 2024. They share the top spot in the Horizon League Preseason Poll with Youngstown State. Key athletes returning include Natalie Block, who was named Horizon League Athlete of the Year. Block is known for her achievements in hurdles and sprints, holding several school records.

Anna Szepieniec, last year's Freshman of the Year for both indoor and outdoor seasons, returns after winning the conference title in the outdoor heptathlon. Anelise Egge will also contribute significantly, having won league titles in various distance events and setting an indoor record for the mile run.

Dominique Thomas will defend her conference title in the 60m dash this winter. She holds a meet record from 2023 and ranks second in program history for her career-best time.

On the men's side, Milwaukee aims to improve on their second-place finishes from last year's championships. Liam Richards returns as a standout athlete after being named Horizon League Freshman of the Year. Anthony Campbell brings experience as a two-time outdoor conference champion in long jump.

Divine Aniamaka set a meet record in triple jump last year and holds a program best mark as well.

Looking ahead, Milwaukee will compete next at Wisconsin's Badger Midwest Invite on January 11th.
