Milwaukee's Anelise Egge has been recognized as the Horizon League Women's Runner of the Week, according to an announcement made by the league. This accolade adds to her impressive junior season performance.
Egge set a new school record during Friday's Joe Piane Invitational by completing the 5K race in 17:18.2. Her time secured her a seventh-place finish out of 182 competitors at the event.
This marks Milwaukee Panthers' first runner of the week honor for this season and is Egge's second career weekly award. She previously earned Freshman of the Week honors in 2022.
Egge and her team are scheduled to compete next on October 18 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois.
