Four athletes from the Milwaukee Track & Field programs have been recognized by the Horizon League as Track & Field Athletes of the Week following their performances at the Blue Demon Holiday Invite hosted by DePaul. This recognition marks a sweep of the weekly awards for the Panthers.
Jaelyn Reeves-Lile was named Men's Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 200m dash with a time of 21.61, which is now the third-best time in school history. He also set a new school record in the 60m dash with a time of 6.76, securing fifth place in Chicago.
Anna Szepieniec received the Women's Track Athlete of the Week award. She achieved this by recording the sixth-best 60m hurdles time in program history at 8.66, finishing fifth at the event.
In field events, Ethan Mitchell was honored as he began his collegiate career with a second-place finish in the long jump, reaching 6.91m, and seventh place in triple jump with a distance of 13.33m.
Morgan Pilate earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week recognition by securing second place in both long jump and triple jump events, with distances of 5.81m and 12.01m respectively.
The Milwaukee Panthers are scheduled to compete next at the Badgers Midwest Invite in Chicago on January 11.
