The Milwaukee men's basketball team secured a victory over IU Indianapolis with an 88-81 win at the Klotsche Center. The game was marked by a late surge, where the Panthers scored an 11-2 run to gain control and clinch the win from the free throw line.

The Panthers, now holding a 10-4 record overall and undefeated in their first three Horizon League games, demonstrated resilience against the Jaguars. "We knew going in that IU Indy has a veteran team," said head coach Bart Lundy. He praised their toughness despite their current record.

Milwaukee's triumph extended their winning streaks at home and throughout December, achieving a perfect month for the first time since February 2005. "Coming off the (Christmas) break, I thought our effort and energy was good," Lundy commented on his team's performance.

Themus Fulks played a pivotal role by scoring a career-high of 26 points, including impressive free throw accuracy. Jamichael Stillwell also made history with his fifth consecutive double-double for Milwaukee, adding to his season tally which ties him for second place in NCAA rankings. "Congratulations to him for setting the school record for double-doubles," Lundy remarked.

Kentrell Pullian contributed significantly with 20 points while Erik Pratt added 11 points off the bench. On the opposing side, Sean Craig led IU Indianapolis with 22 points and Paul Zilinskas added another 21 points.

Despite numerous ties and lead changes throughout the match, Milwaukee's decisive scoring run secured their victory as they maintained strong shooting percentages both from field goals and free throws.

Next on Milwaukee's schedule is another Horizon League game against Oakland on January 2nd at 6 p.m., as they aim to continue their winning momentum into the new year.
