The Milwaukee track and field team is set to host the 12th Annual Tierney Classic on Saturday at the Klotsche Center. This event marks the first of two home meets for the Panthers this season. The competition will commence with field events at 10:00 a.m., followed by track events. Participating teams include Parkside and Bryant & Stratton.

Spectators can attend the event with a $5 admission fee, and a senior day celebration is scheduled to take place after the field events conclude.

In their previous outing, Milwaukee's multi-event athletes competed at the Mastodon Invitational on January 17-18. Anna Szepieniec delivered an impressive performance in the women's pentathlon, amassing 3746 points, which ranks as the third-highest in school history. She secured first place in three out of five events: the 60m hurdles (8.91), long jump (5.69m), and 800m run (2:24.84). Kallie Volk finished second with a personal best score of 3431 points, excelling in the high jump by clearing 1.63m.

On the men's side, Liam Richards dominated the heptathlon by winning six out of seven events, accumulating a total of 4269 points. His victories included performances in the 60m dash (7.09), shot put (12.34m), long jump (6.65m), high jump (1.90m), pole vault (4.30m), and 1000m run (3:02.15).

Looking ahead, the Panthers will compete again on Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1 at Notre Dame's Meyo Classic in South Bend, Indiana.
