Milwaukee's Gabrielle LePine has been named the Horizon League Women's Swimmer of the Week, according to an announcement made by the league on Wednesday. This marks her fourth time receiving the honor this season and her second consecutive win. Previously, she earned the award on October 23, November 6, and January 29.
During a dual meet at Stevens Point on Friday, LePine secured her first individual victory in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:02.97. She continued her strong performance by winning the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:20.65. Additionally, LePine contributed to both the 200 medley relay (1:46.17) and 400 freestyle relay (3:36.39), which also achieved top finishes.
Looking ahead, Milwaukee is set for their final preparation before the league championships at the Wisconsin First Chance Meet in Madison, scheduled for Friday at 4:00 p.m., and continuing Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
