The Milwaukee men's basketball team has released its full non-conference schedule for the 2025-26 season. The announcement follows news of the team's participation in the "Milwaukee Hoops Showdown" against South Dakota State.
The Panthers will begin their campaign with an NIL Exhibition event against Parkside on October 25. Tickets for this exhibition are not included in season membership packages and must be purchased separately.
A home game against Dominican, originally scheduled for November 17, has been moved to November 25.
"Our 2025-26 non-conference schedule is both exciting and extremely challenging," head coach Bart Lundy said. "We have a good slate of home games and some away contests which will allow us to be road-tested."
This year's schedule features matchups against two teams ranked in last season's final Top 25 poll, five programs that made postseason appearances, and several other notable opponents.
"November is an especially difficult month with most of our more-challenging road trips," Lundy said. "In December, we have some unique games including South Dakota State at Fiserv and our non-conference concludes with a trip to Madison to play the Badgers. Get your tickets soon … it will be a great ride!"
The Panthers' schedule includes four teams that finished in the Top 100 of the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) rankings: No. 7 Texas Tech, No. 15 Wisconsin, No. 54 Indiana, and No. 91 Akron. Texas Tech reached the Elite Eight in last year's NCAA Tournament after finishing with a record of 28-9; Wisconsin ended its season at 27-10 and advanced to the tournament's second round; Indiana posted a 19-13 record; Akron finished at 28-7 overall, losing just once in conference play.
Other notable opponents include Wofford, which played in the NCAA Tournament, and Wichita State, which appeared in the NIT.
Milwaukee opens its season at home against Hampton on November 3. The first road game is at Wofford on November 8. Little Rock visits Milwaukee on November 10 before the Panthers travel to Indiana on November 12 and then face Texas Tech on November 14 for their first-ever meeting.
The team continues its road stretch with a matchup against Wichita State on November 22 before returning home to host Dominican on November 25. A return game at Akron is set for November 29.
Conference play interrupts the non-league slate for a home game against Robert Morris on December 6, followed by another home contest versus Indiana State on December 14—the first meeting between these teams since November of 2009.
On December 19, Milwaukee faces South Dakota State at Fiserv Forum as part of a doubleheader event that also features Wisconsin vs. Villanova. South Dakota State ended last season with a record of 20-12.
The final non-conference game will take place against Wisconsin in Madison on December 30—marking their first meeting since December of 2019—after hosting Purdue Fort Wayne at home on December 29.
