The Milwaukee men's track and field team showcased their talents at the Panther Tune-Up, held on Saturday. Iyimi Fagbamiye led the way with a victory in the 60m dash, recording a time of 6.86 seconds. This achievement places him fourth on the program's indoor leaderboard.

Divine Aniamaka, competing unattached, broke the Klotsche Center record in the triple jump with a distance of 16.52 meters. This performance surpasses the previous record of 15.75 meters set in 2000 and ranks third in NCAA Division I this season.

"We didn't have our full team competing today, but the ones that did took a great step forward," said head coach Andrew Basler.

In pole vaulting, Evan Bartelsen achieved a personal best by clearing 5.00 meters, securing first place and moving to third on the school's all-time list. Noah Gilbertsen and Liam Richards both cleared 4.55 meters; Gilbertsen secured second place through tiebreakers while Richards placed third. Nick O'Halloran also recorded a personal best with a clearance of 3.20 meters.

"I thought the pole vaulters all performed extremely well," Basler commented.

Caden Thomas and Collin Schulz tied in the high jump at 1.98 meters, with Thomas winning via tiebreaker.

Jeremiah Johnson excelled in weight throw with a toss of 16.32 meters and finished second in shot put behind Aiden Janke's throw of 14.98 meters.

On track events, Carter Eckhoff won the mile run with a time of 4:16.94, while Talon Gamez claimed victory in the 800m run clocking at 1:58.42.

Will Whiteis concluded Milwaukee's participation by winning the team's eighth event—the 3000m run—with an impressive time of 8:36.12.

"Overall, I'm extremely excited and confident for this team as we head to league championships," Basler expressed optimism about upcoming competitions.

The Panthers are now preparing for next weekend's Horizon League Indoor Championships scheduled for March 1-2 at Lutheran Health Fieldhouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
