The Milwaukee men's basketball team secured the No. 3 seed in the 2025 Barbasol Horizon League Championship following a victory over Detroit Mercy. This win ensures them a bye to the quarterfinals and homecourt advantage, where they will face the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's first-round games. The game is scheduled for Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m.

Milwaukee Athletics announced that the quarterfinal match will be held at the Klotsche Center on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus to maximize homecourt advantage. Head coach Bart Lundy expressed enthusiasm about this decision: "We're going to play at the K," he said. "The atmosphere is huge – to come into that arena, that gym and to feel like everybody is on top of you and to add tournament pressure to that is tough for an opposing team."

Lundy highlighted their successful record at Klotsche Center, stating, "We are 12-1 in the three years I have been here at the K, so we have had success there." He also noted logistical advantages: "If we play at UWM Panther Arena, we wouldn't get a practice in there all week because the building is occupied. And there (on campus), we can practice on that floor all week."

Director of Athletics Amanda Braun echoed support for this venue change: "Coach Lundy and I fully support this joint decision to move the game to the Klotsche Center," she stated. Braun acknowledged previous communications indicating UWM Panther Arena as the venue but appreciated fans' understanding during this critical postseason period.

Men's basketball season ticket holders will receive further information via email regarding ticket arrangements for Thursday's quarterfinal round.
