The Milwaukee men's basketball team secured a decisive 89-67 victory over Detroit Mercy on Saturday at the UWM Panther Arena. The Panthers, who now hold a record of 21-10 overall and 14-6 in the Horizon League, maintained control throughout the game, beginning with an early lead of 10-2. This win marked their seventh consecutive triumph over Detroit Mercy since Bart Lundy took charge as head coach.

"Detroit has struggled with a bunch of injuries and some ups and downs, but I thought they really played tough against us," said Lundy. "We started that funky lineup with the seniors – four guards – and they played way better than we could have hoped. We got off to a good start and I thought our defensive intensity was really good. We got great contributions up and down the lineup."

Kentrell Pullian led Milwaukee's scoring efforts with 18 points, making significant contributions from both the field and free throw line. Jamichael Stillwell achieved his 16th double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Themus Fulks also scored 16 points while providing nine assists.

Senior Erik Pratt added 15 points to Milwaukee's tally, while AJ McKee completed the list of players in double figures with 11 points. For Detroit Mercy, TJ Nadeau scored 15 points, and Emmanuel Kuac recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Milwaukee excelled offensively, shooting at a rate of 52.4 percent from the floor. The team also showcased strong defense and quick transitions, recording substantial fastbreak points.

In recognition of "Senior Day," Milwaukee honored its graduating players before the game: Themus Fulks, Kentrell Pullian, AJ McKee, Erik Pratt, Faizon Fields, Darius Duffy, along with team manager Garrett Klein.

As the No. 3 seed in the Horizon League tournament, Milwaukee will bypass the first round and host a game on Thursday against the highest remaining seed after Tuesday's contests.
