Anelise Egge of the Milwaukee track and field team has been named the Alfreeda Goff Horizon League Indoor Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Year. This recognition follows a season where Egge achieved top times in the Horizon League for both the mile and 3000m runs.

Egge's recent accolades add to her impressive career, having previously won the Horizon League Cross Country Athlete of the Year this fall. Last year, she was also awarded Outstanding Performer of the Meet at the indoor league championships.

At Grand Valley State's Big Meet, Egge broke a 41-year-old school record in the 3000m event with a time of 9:33.27. Her performance in the mile run at Notre Dame's Meyo Invite set a program-best time of 4:47.25.

In addition to these achievements, Egge has claimed victory in two 800m runs this season. She first secured a win at the Tierney Classic with a time of 2:15.51 and later at the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invite with a time of 2:13.86.

The Panthers are set to compete in the Horizon League Indoor Championships starting tomorrow morning and continuing through Sunday. Egge will defend her titles in both the 800m and mile runs while also aiming for victory in the 3000m event.
