U.S. Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin has collaborated with Senator Ted Cruz of Texas to introduce the Falun Gong Protection Act. This legislative measure targets individuals involved in or complicit with involuntary organ harvesting, mandating sanctions against them. Additionally, the bill requires the Secretary of State to present a report to Congress on the organ transplant policies and practices of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The initiative responds to ongoing human rights violations by the CCP, specifically targeting Falun Gong practitioners. Senators Rick Scott of Florida and Thom Tillis of North Carolina also support this legislation.
