U.S. Senators Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley have released more records related to the FBI's "Arctic Frost" investigation, which contributed to Jack Smith's case against former President Donald Trump. The investigation has drawn scrutiny after the disclosure of FBI emails indicating that some officials from the Biden White House, including then-Deputy Counsel Jonathan Su, assisted the FBI in obtaining Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence’s government cell phones. This occurred before Trump was officially added as a subject in the investigation.

The emails also highlight the involvement of prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., notably U.S. Attorney Thomas Windom, who later joined Jack Smith’s team. Their coordination with FBI agents in planning and executing "Arctic Frost" is detailed in these records. Furthermore, anti-Trump FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Timothy Thibault reportedly played a key role in initiating and advancing the investigation, despite some agents believing the evidence only warranted a preliminary inquiry.

Both Senators Johnson and Grassley have reiterated their request for a comprehensive disclosure of all related documents. They are seeking records pertaining to communications between FBI officials and the Biden White House. This move is part of their continued oversight of the investigation process.
