Three members of Milwaukee's track and field teams have been named Horizon League Athletes of the Week. The league announced on Tuesday that Natalie Block, Iyimi Fagbamiye, and Liam Richards were the recipients of this recognition due to their exceptional performances over the past weekend.

Natalie Block earned the women's Runner of the Week title after participating in her inaugural race of the year at the Duke Invitational on Saturday. She completed the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.84 seconds, becoming the first individual in the Horizon League this season to finish the event in less than a minute. This achievement places her 25th in NCAA Division I for the event.

Iyimi Fagbamiye was honored as the men's Runner of the Week for his performance in the 110m hurdles at the Marquette Invitational on Friday. He claimed first place, achieving the eighth-best time in school history at 14.32 seconds.

Liam Richards was designated the men's Field Athlete of the Week. He accumulated 6,959 points in the decathlon at the Duke Invitational, positioning himself second on the program's all-time leaderboard. Richards won his event group, achieving victories in six disciplines, including the 100m dash, 110m hurdles, 400m dash, long jump, high jump, and discus throw.

Milwaukee will resume competition on Thursday with the Green & White Invite, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College at Raabe Stadium in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Also commencing on Thursday is La Crosse's Phil Esten Challenge at Veterans Memorial Field in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Gibson Invitational, hosted by Indiana State at the Gibson Track & Field Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana, will take place starting Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
