Milwaukee women's track team competes at Jim Green Invitational and Badger Challenge

The Milwaukee women's track and field team commenced their weekend with participation in two events: the Jim Green Invitational and the Badger Challenge.

At the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Ky., Natalie Block delivered a strong performance by winning the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.85. Leah Handshoe also competed in this event, finishing with a time of 1:04.22. Anna Szepieniec tied her career-best in the long jump, hitting a distance of 5.94m, positioning her third on the school's all-time list. In the 200m dash, Victoria Evtimov completed the race in 24.75, while Kallie Volk finished third in the javelin with a throw of 32.46m. The team will compete again tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. (CT).

Meanwhile, at the Badger Challenge, Hailey Soriaga achieved a personal best in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.82m, securing the runner-up position and rising to fifth in the program's all-time rankings. Olivia VanZeeland won the high jump with a height of 1.73m. Brooke Crosby finished second twice; once with a time of 14.74 in the 100m hurdles and again in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:06.41. Taylor Thimmesch also secured second place in the 400m dash, achieving a personal best of 57.99. In the 100m dash, Isabel Roloff placed third with a time of 12.28, followed by Angelica Refinski in fourth with a time of 12.33. Kalea Weyenberg claimed second place in the 200m dash with a time of 25.36, closely followed by Refinski at 25.55.
