Milwaukee tennis players receive Academic All-District honors

Three members of the Milwaukee women's tennis team have been recognized for their academic and athletic achievements. Nadiia Konieva, Sara Simonova, and Emilia Durska were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Tennis Team by the College Sports Communicators.

Konieva, a psychology major with a GPA of 3.975, led her team in doubles victories with 16 wins from the No. 1 doubles line. She also secured 12 singles wins and was recently named to the All-Horizon League Second Team and Horizon League Valeo All-Academic Team. Konieva has previously been honored as First Team All-Horizon League and Freshman of the Year in 2023.

Simonova, studying political science with a GPA of 3.988, achieved 23 victories this season, including 10 in singles play and 13 in doubles. Her academic performance has earned her repeated recognition on the Horizon League Valeo All-Academic Team. Simonova has consistently been on the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.

Durska completed her sophomore year leading in singles victories with 14 wins and added another 12 in doubles play. A Criminal Justice & Criminology major with a GPA of 3.784, she is also a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.

The College Sports Communicators' recognition highlights student-athletes' performances both academically and athletically.
