The Milwaukee track and field teams have added the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier to their schedule, set for Thursday, May 15. The event will take place at Veterans Memorial Field in La Crosse, Wisconsin, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

This meet provides athletes with a final chance to qualify for the NCAA West Regional Preliminary Rounds scheduled from May 28-31 in College Station, Texas. To advance, athletes must rank among the top 48 in each individual event within the region.

Recently, both men's and women's teams from Milwaukee performed well at the Horizon League Championships, securing runner-up positions. The men's team achieved six individual conference titles while the women's team claimed five.

Jaelyn Reeves-Lile was recognized as the ARI Accelerator Men's Field Performer of the Meet after winning championships in both the 100m and 200m dashes. He set new school and meet records with times of 10.24 seconds in the 100m and 20.51 seconds in the 200m.

Anna Szepieniec was named Women's Field Performer of the Meet by earning two titles and breaking previous records with her performance in the heptathlon and long jump.

Freshman Anthony Buford concluded his season by sweeping both Indoor and Outdoor Freshman of the Year Awards. He won his first league title in long jump with a mark of 7.39 meters.

Natalie Block secured victories on track events by setting a new meet record in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.16 seconds and also winning the 400m hurdles.

Liam Richards excelled in decathlon scoring a personal-best of over 7,000 points while Olivia VanZeeland won high jump clearing a height of 1.75 meters.

Divine Aniamaka dominated triple jump with a mark currently ranked within regional standings while Josh Cygan made an impressive debut by winning discus throw.

The official list of regional qualifiers will be released next week by NCAA determining who advances to compete further at Texas A&M's E.B Cushing Stadium later this month.
