Natalie Block is set to compete in the semifinals of the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championships. The event will take place on June 12 at 8:14 p.m. (CT) at Hayward Field, University of Oregon, Eugene, and will be broadcast live on ESPN starting at 6:00 p.m. (CT).
This marks Block's second consecutive year traveling to Eugene for the championships. Last season, she qualified but was unable to compete due to a late injury.
Block secured her place by competing in the NCAA West Regional Preliminaries where she ran a first-round time of 57.46, advancing her to the quarterfinals. She then surpassed her previous best with a time of 56.95.
To progress to Saturday's championship round scheduled for 9:27 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2, Block must finish in one of the top two positions in her heat or achieve one of the three fastest at-large times.
