Head volleyball coach Susie Johnson has announced the addition of Hailey Hutchings to Milwaukee's roster for the 2025 season. Hutchings transfers from Grand Canyon University, where she was part of the beach volleyball team for four years.

"We are really excited about Hailey's athleticism and competitive nature," said Johnson. "She has a unique background in that she has been in the beach game for her collegiate career, and we are looking forward to benefiting from her experience moving into the indoor game."

Hailing from Flower City, Texas, Hutchings contributed to 89 team wins during her time at GCU. The beach volleyball season runs from mid-February to early May. In her most recent season, she secured a victory in her sole appearance, aiding GCU in clinching a point against Benedictine Mesa.

During her junior year, Hutchings began with three consecutive wins contributing to 5-0 victories over UTEP, Arizona Christian, and Portland. She also faced off against top-ranked teams such as Hawai'i, California, Stanford, and Washington.

Before college, Hutchings played indoor volleyball at Flower Mound High School and competed with Instinct at the club level. Additionally, she participated in club beach volleyball with 692 Beach and was recognized on the Prep Dig Texas Top Player Rankings list in 2021. At Flower Mound High School, she was a three-year varsity athlete and part of the 2018 Texas State Championship team.
