As seniors from Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) graduate, they are looking towards the future with plans to pursue higher education and careers. Many graduates have already set their sights on colleges, the military, technical schools, or entering the workforce.
The school district expressed pride in its graduates' choices. "We are excited to offer a sampling of student destinations after graduation," MPS stated.
Graduates have chosen various Wisconsin institutions such as Alverno College, Marquette University, and UW–Madison among others. Additionally, out-of-state colleges include Boston University and Stanford University.
International options include York University and the University of British Columbia. Several students have opted for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) like Howard University and Spelman College.
Some graduates will join military service branches including the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Others will enter trades through organizations like We Energies or join service organizations such as City Year.
In conclusion, MPS congratulated its graduates with words from Malala Yousafzai: “Let us make our future now, and let us make our dreams tomorrow’s reality.”
