Priscilla Schultz has been appointed as the associate head cross country coach and assistant track & field coach for Milwaukee, announced by head coach Andrew Basler. Schultz joins from the University of Arizona, where she spent three seasons as an assistant coach.
"It was evident from the start of the hiring process that Priscilla was the best person for this position," said Basler. "Her journey as a student-athlete and then professional runner shows her understanding of what it takes to reach high levels in our sport."
Schultz expressed gratitude towards Head Coach Andrew Basler, Deputy Director of Athletics Cathy Rossi, and Director of Athletics Amanda Braun for the opportunity. "From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt an immediate connection to the staff and student-athletes at Milwaukee," she said.
During her tenure at Arizona, Schultz coached athletes to top-25 conference rankings and led several into the program's all-time Top-10 list. She also served as head cross country coach at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.
Schultz began her collegiate coaching career at Arizona State University. As a student-athlete there, she earned national recognition in cross country and track & field and competed in significant events like the 2000 USATF Olympic Trials.
She holds USATF Level Two Coaching Certifications in endurance and sprints and a USATF Cross Country Specialist Certification.
