On Wednesday, Milwaukee unveiled its 2025 men's and women's cross country schedules. Head coach Andrew Basler announced the schedule, which includes nine events spanning from late August to late November. The season will conclude with the Horizon League Championships, the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, and the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in November.
The season opener is set for August 30 at the Tom Barry Invitational hosted by St. Norbert at the Shorewood Cross Country Course. This event will feature a 5K race for women and a 6K race for men.
The following weekend on September 6, Milwaukee will compete in the Phoenix Open hosted by Green Bay. The races will be extended to a 6K for women and an 8K for men.
After a break, the team will participate in the Rumble in the Fort on September 20 at Purdue Fort Wayne's Mastodon Cross Country Course. This meet provides an opportunity to get accustomed to the course that will host the Horizon League Championships later.
October begins with two events: some runners will attend Notre Dame's Joe Piane Invitational on October 3, while others compete locally at Wisconsin Lutheran Warrior Invitational on October 4 at Greenfield Park in West Allis, Wisconsin.
The Bradley Pink Classic on October 17 in Peoria, Illinois serves as a final preparation before championship season at Newman Golf Course.
On November 1, Milwaukee returns to Fort Wayne for the Horizon League Championships. The women's team aims to improve their fifth-place finish from last year, while the men's team seeks to better their ninth-place result.
The NCAA Great Lakes Regional takes place on November 14 hosted by University of Evansville. The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championship is scheduled for November 22 at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri, hosted by University of Missouri.
