Rep. Barbara Dittrich, a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly representing the 38th district, shared several updates on July 22, 2025, highlighting feedback from her constituents and recent legislative activities.
In one post, Dittrich referenced ongoing responses to a local survey about language used to describe mothers. She stated on July 22, "Continuing with constituents' responses to the spring survey, we see how voters in the 99th Assembly District feel about calling mothers 'inseminated persons.'"
Later that day, Dittrich described her participation in a meeting focused on health care policy. On July 22 she wrote: "Yesterday, I joined four other Waukesha County legislators and/or their staff meeting with a group of employers (including a school district) to discuss ways to advance free market policies in employee health care."
Dittrich also addressed concerns from her district regarding participation in sports based on gender identity. On July 22 she posted: "My constituents overwhelmingly disapprove of biological males in female sports, which is why my Save Women's Sports legislation originated with a constituent contact. This problem isn't going away, and schools ignore it to their own peril. #SaveWomensSports"
The issues raised by Dittrich reflect broader debates occurring nationwide regarding gendered language and transgender participation in athletics. In Wisconsin and other states, similar legislation has been introduced or debated addressing eligibility for school sports teams based on biological sex rather than gender identity.
Dittrich's public posts highlight her continued engagement with constituents' views as well as her involvement in policy discussions at both the local and state level.
