Six Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) high schools have been recognized in the annual Best High Schools list by U.S. News & World Report, released today. According to the rankings, three of these schools are placed among the top 50 in Wisconsin, while another three are included in the top 100.
“I am extremely proud of the educators, staff, students and families who have earned this recognition,” said MPS Superintendent Brenda Cassellius. “Milwaukee has amazing, high-performing high school options and this list represents a small fraction of what MPS has to offer.
“While we celebrate these schools, we are clear eyed about the work ahead across our district as we prioritize academic achievement and literacy for all our students and all our schools,” she said.
MPS noted that some of its schools still have seats available for fall 2025 enrollment. Those interested can call a school directly or visit mpsmke.com/enroll for more information.
